Vahan Savadyan read the text, Tigran Petrosyan spoke before him.

We, members of the Armenian community of St. Petersburg (Russia), on the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, join our voice to yours in Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh), because Artsakh is not only a part of the State of Armenia, but also its nerve, heart, soul and bastion.

We fully support the will of the people of the Republic of Artsakh for independence and preservation in the State of Armenia, for the unification of patriotic forces to defend the self-determination that has taken place (remedial secession), for the protection of statehood from the genocidal pan-Turan predators – Azerbaijan and Turkey – and their sponsors and accomplices.

We sent information about the ongoing nationwide gatherings in Stepanakert to various Russian media, websites, groups in social networks and to a number of government organizations and representative offices of foreign states in St. Petersburg. http://crossroadorg.info/rallies-sept-2022/

Together with you, we demand from the UN, OSCE, leading powers and international organizations related to the Karabakh problem:

– to condemn and apply specific legal, political and economic sanctions against Azerbaijan for numerous recurrent crimes of genocide and culturicide over the course of a century against the Armenian and other autochthonous peoples of Eastern Transcaucasia,

– to stop the policy of double standards, ignoring and hushing up the truth about the Karabakh conflict, – to recognize that the only way to a just peace in the region is a respect for the repeatedly recognized right of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination and sovereign statehood.

Another attitude of these structures is the continuation of legalization, direct encouragement and complicity in the obvious genocidal policy of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

We call on other Armenian communities and organizations of Russia and the Diaspora to join the pan-Armenian movement and by all means effectively support the people of Artsakh in the process of consolidating patriotic forces against defeatism.

Dear brothers and sisters, we are together, despite the distances, the victory, in the end, will be for the heroic Artsakh!
